About me!

Hi everyone!

I'm Nina, and I am the Owner and jewellery/gift maker at Nina Lily Designs.

Ever since I was little I have always been drawn to the sea, and now I feel extremely lucky and grateful to be able to live on the wonderful Kent coast.

When I first discovered a piece of sea-glass glistening in the sun on a Folkestone beach, I immediately fell in love with these beautiful ocean gems! I decided to make myself some jewellery out of the few pieces I had found, and it sparked the idea of Nina Lily Designs!

I have always enjoyed anything creative and artistic, and my favourite pass times are painting and ceramics. Jewellery making was a new venture for me, but one I now adore.

The Process

Every step in the process of creating Nina Lily Designs gifts is by a very small team... just me! Whether it's hand-picking the sea-glass straight from Kent beaches, hand-moulding and painting the clay, or wire-wrapping the jewellery, I take my time to ensure the pieces are of the best condition and that the colours and textures compliment each other. I also enjoy sketching up new designs to keep the shop (and my imagination!) fresh. I do everything from a little vintage school desk at my home!

I use a mixture of wire-wrapping materials and techniques to provide a variety of styles, and also use a mix of both air dry clay and polymer clay to compliment the intended use of each piece.

I have specifically opted for 100% eco-friendly packaging as this is very important to me - everything from the gift boxes, packaging and even the tape and stamp ink is 100% eco-friendly and recyclable!
